Manchester City Women Honour Houghton with Mosaic
Manchester City Women's record appearance holder Steph Houghton has been honoured with a mosaic at the City Football Academy, celebrating her decade of success with the Blues. The mosaic, created by local artist Mark Kennedy, is the latest tribute to City legends, including Yaya Toure, Joe Hart, and Vincent Kompany.
Houghton, who won eight major honours across a ten-year spell, including one WSL title, three FA Cups, and four League Cups, remains an iconic figure for City. She became the Club's first female ambassador and briefly joined Nick Cushing's coaching setup during his interim spell in charge from March–May 2025.
The mosaic was commissioned in June 2024, and it has now been unveiled at the state-of-the-art Women's First Team facility. Chairman and Manchester City Women's Managing Director Charlotte Brough joined Houghton and her family to unveil the tribute.
